Welcome to the Party advice top 10 tips from JJ the Children’s Entertainer today we are going to be looking at Party Balloons.
Balloons are great for parties and have been used for many years from hanging on the walls to full balloon drops and sculptures. Balloons can look fantastic for parties but they can also be very hazardous.
Having had experience over the years using balloons and also being a fully trained balloon sculpture please have a read what JJ has to say below.
“Having provided children’s birthday parties now for almost 20 years there are a few rules to follow to make a party a great success, one of these rules is a rule about Balloons. This is very important it can even make or break a party so you have to be careful. Balloons look great there is no doubt about that they look amazing as table décor or even displayed correct on a wall. Using them as a beacon outside of a venue is also a very good idea to help people find the right venue think of a Balloon as the Bat Signal of Birthday Parties! One of the problems with balloons is scattering balloons over the floor this can cause two issues from a entertainers point of view number one they can be very distracting and especially when a child has hold of them during a show and they accidently pop them this takes all the children’s attention away from what is going on. Number two is the dangers once these balloons have been popped they now become a choking hazard for small and young so I will always advise to save the balloons until either the Disco begins when you can keep an eye on the little ones properly or let all the children take a balloon home with them.” JJ 2015
